What is Probability?

This is 1st article in the series on Probability!

Probability is the mathematics of uncertainty.

It tells us how likely something is to happen, expressed as a number between 0 and 1 (or 0% to 100%).

• 0 → impossible (it can’t happen)
• 1 → certain (it will definitely happen)
• Anything in between → measures the chance of the event

👉 Example: Flipping a fair coin → the chance of heads is 0.5 (50%).

✨ That’s the core idea of probability in one simple picture: it’s a scale from impossible → uncertain → certain.
